Covid cases exceed 1.32 million in Pakistan: NCOC

KARACHI, Pakistan - According to National Command and Operation's Centre (NCOC) data, Pakistan's positivity rate increased to 8.16 percent on Saturday morning. It's the highest since August 11, when 52,522 tests were done across the country in the preceding 24 hours, up from 7.36 percent the day before.

The total number of cases has risen to 1.32 million following the discovery of additional infections. In contrast, the death toll has been increased to 29,003 following the news of four deaths from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

The NCOC has also stated that all individuals over the age of 18 can receive the coronavirus vaccine's booster shot as the Omicron variant spreads across the country,

The free booster dose will be given to people six months after their vaccine is completed.
