JAKARTA -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 3,520 within one day to 396,454, with the death toll adding by 101 to 13,512, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, 4,576 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 322,248.

The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces. (Indonesia-COVID-19)

MANILA -- The Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday reported 1,524 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total number in the country to 373,144.

The DOH said 353 more patients recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 328,602. The death toll climbed to 7,053 after 14 more patients died from the viral disease, the DOH added. (Philippines-COVID-19)

ISLAMABAD -- Seven students were killed and over 120 people including students were injured when a bomb went off inside a seminary in capital city Peshawar of Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday morning, hospital sources and police said.

Tariq Burki, associate hospital director of Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar told Xinhua that they have received seven bodies and 90 injured people at the hospital while there are some 30 more under treatment in other hospitals. (Pakistan-Bomb-Casualties)

SEOUL -- South Korea's gross domestic product (GDP) recorded the first rebound in three quarters amid a lingering uncertainty over the COVID-19 pandemic, central bank data showed Tuesday.

Real GDP, adjusted for inflation, grew 1.9 percent in the July-September quarter from the previous quarter, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK). (S.Korea-GDP-Rebound)

KHOST, Afghanistan -- Six persons including four attackers were killed and 25 others including nine civilians injured as a car bomb went off close to a police base in Khost, capital of eastern Afghanistan's Khost province on Tuesday, Interior Ministry spokesman Tareq Arian said.

According to the official, the militants first detonated an explosive-laden car close to the base of the Special Police Force at 05:50 a.m. local time and four militants then entered the compound and began firing.
