ISLAMABAD, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 15 others injured when a gas cylinder went off in Mardan district of Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, police sources said.
The incident took place in a busy market in the district and initial investigations revealed that it happened due to explosion of the gas cylinder of a motorcycle rickshaw passing by the market, police sources told Xinhua, adding that further probe is being made as the possibility of a terrorist attack can not be ruled out.
The injured including a kid have been shifted to a nearby hospital where two of them are in critical condition.
This is the second explosion in the province on Tuesday. Earlier, five people were killed and one other was injured when a mortar shell exploded in Nowshera district.
