QUETTA: Inspector General of Frontier Corps (IG FC) Balochistan Major General Nadeem Anjum on Thursday kicked off 'Plant for Pakistan' campaign by planting a sapling inside the FC Headquarters, Quetta.
According to the FC Balochistan spokesperson, Maj Gen Anjum planted a sapling inside the FC Headquarter to contribute to the campaign.
"Following the programme, each FC soldier will plant a sapling in Balochistan. During various ceremonies held at Frontier Corps Wing Headquarters across the province, a total of 52,000 saplings have been planted," said the spokesperson, adding that the FC Balochistan would plant 200,000 saplings across the province in the current year.
The IG FC Balochistan directed the personnel to plant more saplings in order to make Pakistan green and ensure proper care of the new plants.
"Planting trees is beneficial for the earth and the environment; therefore, we all have to play our due role by planting one sapling each to make Pakistan greener," said Anjum.
