Qantas suspends pilots who forgot to put wheels down
Pakistan News.Net Wednesday 4th November, 2009
Two Qantas pilots have been suspended after forgetting to lower landing gear at Sydney airport.
The Boeing 767 was only 300m above the ground when alarms reminded the pilots to deploy the landing gear.
The plane was boosted back into the air, regaining altitude to fly around the busy airport before coming in to land safely.
Qantas said the incident had been serious and would be subject to a full investigation by Qantas and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. Email this story to a friend
