Crowded Singapore hotel markets gets new addition

The Park Hotel Group opened its latest hotel in Singapore earlier this month.
The Park Hotel Clarke Quay is situated beside the Singapore River in the enclave of Clarke Quay.
The building, with a red-tiled roof and spired towers, consists of 10-storeys, and according to the owner pays homage to Singapore's classic colonial style of the early 1800s.
The opening was marked by a traditional Lion Dance and live entertainment. The ceremony was officiated by S. Iswaran, Singapore's Senior Minister of State for Trade & Industry and Education.
“Today is a moment we have all been anticipating – the Grand Opening of the newest addition to our family – Park Hotel Clarke Quay,” Allen Law, Director of Park Hotel Group said.
“As our first new-build hotel, Park Hotel Clarke Quay is a special project for us and an important step in helping us to achieve our brand vision. We are excited to be a part of this vibrant energy that surrounds the Clarke Quay.”
The hotel was designed by DP Architects and focused on Singapore’s bygone Victorian era. The style of the era is mimicked with cast-iron structures and a clay roof topped by three spires crowning the ornate façade.
Located along Clemenceau Avenue/Unity Street, the hotel’s 336 rooms and suites overlook the Singapore River, the country's sea-trading artery, or the city skyline.
Recreational facilities include cabana-style spa pavilions managed by Spa Park Asia; a 25-metre swimming pool with a deck and bar, as well as a gym.  Email this story to a friend
