Zelaya to try to reclaim old job in Honduras
Pakistan News.Net Saturday 4th July, 2009
Manuel Zelaya, the deposed president of Honduras, has said he will return home to challenge the people who deposed him.
The president, who lost power in a military coup last weekend, insists he will return within 24 hours.
Speaking from his home in exile on Venezuelan television, he called on Honduran “peasants, housewives, townspeople, indigenous people, youths” to accompany him on his return.
Mr Zelaya said he would be accompanied by several presidents of other countries, but did not name them.
