British PM to press G20 for new monetary system
Pakistan News.Net Tuesday 11th November, 2008
Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown is believed to be ready to push for a new international financial system.
The new system, that will update the Bretton Woods agreement, is going to be called for at the G20 summit to be held in Washington next weekend.
It has been revealed that Brown will also say the United States and Europe must provide the leadership for the creation for a new international order.
Brown has already discussed IMF reforms with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel and has called on countries such as China and the Gulf states to fund major increases for the International Monetary Fund.

why China/Gulf states have to fund the IMF? Isn’t the US or the whole European continent are broke, if this is the case, why US/EU are being called to lead the new Int. order??.
Brown still didn’t get it, it is the US/EU who brought us this wonderful crisis/mess and they should not even allowed to join the G20!!
